Cyprus beat Latvia 2-1 at the GSP Stadium in Nicosia in matchday 4 of UEFA Nations League League C. Marcus Edwards scored the winning goal in the fourth minute of stoppage time, after the home side had been pegged back earlier in the second half.
The match
Cyprus took an early lead through Ioannis Pittas in the 26th minute, making it 1-0. Three minutes later, Latvia's Raivis Jurkovskis picked up the match's first yellow card.
At half-time, Latvia made two changes, bringing on Lukass Vapne and Markuss Strods for Kristers Cudars and Danila Patijcuks.
Latvia levelled the score in the 57th minute through Eduards Daskevics. Cyprus responded with a double substitution in the 58th minute, introducing Andronikos Kakoullis and Loizos Loizou. Latvia made another change two minutes later, sending on Vladislavs Gutkovskis for Roberts Uldriķis.
