Augsburg and Bayern Munich drew 2-2 at the WWK Arena. Fellhauer and Ribeiro gave the hosts a two-goal lead at different points, but Diaz, Saibari and Brown secured a point for Bayern.

The match

A lightning start at the WWK Arena: Robin Fellhauer put Augsburg ahead inside the first minute. Late in the first half the hosts picked up two bookings, Chrislain Matsima in the 42nd minute and Rodrigo Ribeiro in the 43rd.

Bayern München turned the game around quickly after the break. Luis Díaz levelled in the 51st minute, assisted by Ismael Saibari. A VAR check followed in the 52nd minute involving Bayern. Four minutes later, in the 55th minute, Saibari himself put Bayern in front, finishing off a Harry Kane assist.

Augsburg responded. Hennes Behrens was booked in the 62nd minute, the same moment Anton Kade replaced Young-woo Seol. Three minutes later, in the 65th minute, Rodrigo Ribeiro restored Augsburg's lead, set up by Calvin Brackelmann, making it 2-1.

Bayern reacted with changes, bringing on Nathaniel Brown and Serge Gnabry for Josip Stanisic and Ismael Saibari in the 67th minute. Augsburg made their own substitution in the 74th minute, with Mert Kömür replacing Rodrigo Ribeiro. In the 80th minute, Nathaniel Brown scored the equaliser, again assisted by Harry Kane, making it 2-2.

Both sides used further substitutions late on: Augsburg brought on Michael Gregoritsch and Jeffrey Gouweleeuw, while Bayern introduced Tom Bischof and Lennart Karl.

Bayern München dominated possession (70% to 30%) and total shots (29 to 12), with 10 shots on target against Augsburg's 5. Bayern also edged the corner count, 9 to 5. Augsburg committed more fouls (10 to 6) and were the only side to pick up bookings, with 3 yellow cards to Bayern's 0.
