Lazio beat Monza 3-1 at the Olimpico with goals from Tavares, Isaksen and a late strike. Monza played over an hour with ten men after Lucchesi's red card.

The match
Lazio made the perfect start, going ahead after just 3 minutes when Nuno Tavares finished off an assist from Tijjani Noslin to make it 1-0.
Monza hit back with an equaliser in the 20th minute, but Lazio responded almost immediately. In the 23rd minute Gustav Isaksen, again set up by Noslin, restored the two-goal cushion at 2-0.
The game turned on its head in the 35th minute when Lorenzo Lucchesi was sent off following a VAR review, leaving Monza with ten men for more than half the match. Two minutes later Ivan Jurić brought on Saba Goglichidze for Cyril Ngonge.
Lazio's Danilho Doekhi was booked right before the break, in first-half stoppage time.
Monza came out for the second half looking to respond, making a triple substitution at the interval: Yvan Maye, Dany Mota and Foe Ondoa replaced Andrea Carboni, Exequiel Zeballos and Michael Folorunsho. In that same minute, Goglichidze pulled one back to make it 2-1.
Lazio managed the game and their numerical advantage with a series of changes: Diogo Leite, Fisayo Dele-Bashiru and Josip Sutalo came on between the 53rd and 60th minutes for Doekhi, Davide Frattesi and Oliver Provstgaard. Provstgaard (55') and Leite (69') were both booked along the way.
Monza tried to hang on, bringing on Adam Bakoune for Ricardo Mangas in the 70th minute, but Lazio put the game to bed with a third goal in the 88th minute to make it 3-1. Jurić was also booked late on, in the 79th minute.
