Belarus took the lead almost immediately: Artem Shumanskiy scored in the 1st minute to make it 1-0.

Benjamin Källman picked up a yellow card in the 75th minute. Belarus had another caution shortly after, with Kirill Pechenin booked in the 83rd minute, before Aleksandr Selyava replaced Evgeni Yablonski a minute later. Finland's Samuli Miettinen was shown a yellow card in second-half stoppage time, in the 90+2nd minute.

The 1-0 scoreline held until the final whistle.
